Depressed,need advice.?
I was crying on my birthday! I feel so lonely and depressed sometimes.My fiance says that im just looking for attention.Im sure if I was one of his coworkers or the drunk girls he meets at the club,he'd take me more seriously.He's a club promoter on the weekend,goes to work and school.I only get to see him once a week.I always buy his mom a gift on her b-day,but she never does on mine.She simply calls and says happy birthday,how are you.Thats all.She does not make me feel special.On my birthday,"hubby" gave me a gift card to go shopping,but the gift card said "congratulations."He didnt even take his time to pick out a meaningful B-day gift card.He did not write anything on it.He works at a school and was trying to help this foreign woman get into his school for free(on a scholarship) and also help her get a job as an admin. assistant there,just like him.Meanwhile,im struggling to pay for school and he doesnt care.Please help!
It does sound like you are feeling a little attention starved. but that is not a bad thing. You should be the most important thing to your husband-to-be and thus deserve some attention.
Have you expressed these feeling to him? Have you let him know how hard things are for you, or have you just cried in front of him. Men are stupid. If you don't tell them exactly how you feel they will never figure it out.
If these bouts of depression persist go see a counselor. Most schools offer a free service to students.
