Help me find a scholarship for graduating high school mothers.?

Everything i see is for mothers 30 years old and up, or african american, or women who are victims of domestic violence, or women who are going into a certificate program.

But i am a 19 year old mother of one who will graduate next month from silsbee high school. I then plan to attend lamar UNIVERISTY, not a tec school for four years to become a teacher. But i need finanial aid and don't qualify for it. this has been hard, i have stayed strong for two years, i made it! only to find that people would have helped me more if i had just dropped out.

Can anyone give me any information that would help. maybe you know of a scholarship i qualify for.

If you plan on going for a teaching degree, you shouldn't have much trouble getting financial help. Even the FAFSA asks if you plan on doing teaching. I found another yahoo answer that gave a long list of information. I also looked up Lamar University, and assuming it's the one you plan on attending, they do have education scholarships listed. If you can't get one your first year, there's still the year after that. I don't know your grades so there's no way to tell.

And you should apply for FAFSA, even if it's just to get a Federal Loan.
