Do you think that the Federal Gov't should Grant amnesty to illegal immigrants?

also curious,,wanna know, these are some topics in which could affect most people in the US
tell me why or why not

I really find it hard to be completely for or against either side of the issue. On one hand I feel that we need to enforce the law - but on the other hand I do not want to punish people who simply want to be Americans.

I see the situation as two separate but inter-related issues:

1) Illegal immigrants (people who came here to live permanently)
2) Illegal economic migrants (people who are only here for the money and feel no sense of loyalty or obligation to our society)

The first groups needs to be treated with compassion while the second group I have no sympathy for.

BTW - I feel that the only way we are going to get the immigration situation under control is to make employers liable for any illegals they have working for them. (However the government would be required to provide a system where an employer can verify status.)
