The Bill And Melinda Gates Foundation Scholarship
Education is the right of every American citizen. However, the increasing rate of College tuition costs, as well as the crashing of the economy, makes getting a college degree a lot harder for people who can barely make money for their essential needs. For most people, getting into a good college and obtaining a college degree is only possible through a scholarship.
Billionaire and Microsoft founder Bill Gates and his wife Melinda have set an academic program aimed to help members of the minority succeed in life by providing scholarships through the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation Scholarship.
According to studies funded by the Gates couple, there are approximately 4.5 million students who won't be able to obtain their college degrees because their families can't keep up with the high costs of higher education by the year 2006 to 2016. The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation aims to help 27,000 low-income students get to college by 2016.
The Foundation has initiated various College Scholarships throughout the United States. In the University of Washington, undergraduates can avail of the benefits of the Mary Gates Scholars program. For people seeking undergraduate and graduate degrees, they can apply for the Gates Millennium Scholarships.
The Foundation has not limited itself to helping American citizens but also channeled its focus on the agricultural development of Africa. The Gates couple has launched the African Women in Agricultural Research and Development program, not only to provide additional funding for African women and reduce college tuition costs, but rather train women to help in the development of Africa.
The scholarships sponsored by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation are among the best programs that comes from the private sector. If you believe you qualify, then there is no harm in trying. Start filling that application now and get your college degree and make better your future.

Why aren't there any University Scholarships exclusively for white males?
There are scholarships for african americans, natives, women, hispanics, asians etc. but none are specifically for white males. What gives?
This is not a racist question, it is true. I think that it is racist that you would give money to someone because they are a certain color, why not just have general scholarships based on marks, community involvement etc. instead of playing the race card?
When I first started college back when dinosaurs roamed the Earth I noticed all of the exclusive clubs and scholarships available to everyone else but me because I am a male of European ancestry. Ironically enough a group of us were interested in forming our own student union on campus. We were unable to do so successfully not because of our color and sex but because we had those things called 'jobs' that took up our time away from college.
In retrospect I'm not bitter, in fact to be honest I've learned more in the real world than I ever learned on a university campus. The main thing I learned is that hard work and perseverance make you appreciate what you have earned more so than something that may have been given to you or the product of someone else's labor.
So to answer your question, you must provide your own 'scholarship' money if you don't qualify for the 'exclusive' ones.
