Every year, many students have to abandon their dreams of pursuing higher education in esteemed universities due to lack of financial resources. While some students get the scholarships they apply for, many don’t. Dreams, plans and hard work that started in high school to get into a good university are sometimes not fulfilled. In such situations, the government grant is the alternative way to pay for education without coming under any debt. These grants are for encouraging aspiring students to help them study further.
Students first need to determine their goals and decide their profession in life. They can consult professional counselors to help them do this by analyzing their capabilities and talents. The government grants can then be applied for after applying in the colleges of their choice. Other than these grants, institutions also provide financial aid for students. Eligible students can apply and obtain a combination of different aids. Unlike financial aid, government grants are free and, therefore, are more convenient. Even though these grants are given primarily on the basis of the student’s household income, they are required to maintain a good academic record. These evaluations are usually given at the start of the term.
There are various types of grants. A special grant is available for the physically disabled students. They can apply for the grants on the basis of their disability. However once they get the grant, like others, they have to maintain a good academic record. There is also a grant reserved for students doing research to encourage new discoveries. Another category of grants is designed especially for women. These educational grants help them to pay for their books, fees and other necessities, and encourage them to pursue higher education. Federal grants are given to women for academics in order to assist them to study further so they can enter professional careers. These grants give women equal opportunity to progress.
To obtain the grants, follow the steps. First, look for various financial aids and government grants available. Research and study all the details, specifications and eligibility criteria. If eligible, get the form and fill it. Attach relevant documents e.g. College details, household income, academic records etc. Now, wait for a response but keep your prospects open.
Just follow the steps carefully with clean aims and objectives. Think strategically and intelligently; getting the student government grants will then be easy.

Please help; this is very important to me? Question about enrollment and government grants?
I asked this question about 20 minutes ago, but am very desperate for an answer as soon as possible (no one is available to speak with me at the university right now as it is closed). Okay, so here goes (and I really appreciate whoever may read all of this and try to respond):
I am a full-time college student. I have already received grants from the government to cover this year's enrollment fees. I am also filing taxes stating that I am a full-time student. There are two months left in the semester and I want to drop one of my classes that I am going to fail, thus taking away my full-time student status and deeming me a part-time student for the rest of this semester.
The question: Will this affect my Government Loans? They can't take the money back that they have already awarded me (I'm assuming), but will there be some sort of penalty? Also, will this affect my tax return? Do I need to mention that I was a part-time student for two months? Does it even matter?
THANK YOU!
You WILL NOT have to pay any money back. I was in the same situation once. Even though it'll drop you below the required full-time status hours, you'll still be considered a full-time student. I have dropped classes two semesters in a row right near the last day to drop classes. The first time I dropped down to 10 hours. The second time, it dropped me down to 9 hrs. I have never had to pay any money back. I checked my enrollment verification recently, and it has listed beside each semester that I was a FULL-TIME student, so NO, NOTHING WILL CHANGE at all. That's if you do as you're planning to do and wait until there's only about 2 months left. If you dropped a course near the beginning, I'm sure it would be a different situation though. But don't worry!!
