What are some good student loan lending companies?
Any info that anyone knows would be appreciated!
Make sure you've looked into Stafford subsidized loans first. These Federal Loans charge a lower interest rate.
If you still need Private Student Loans (the highest interest rate loans for students) then here are a few places I'd check out.
Wells Fargo - They do a lot of private student loans.
financialaid.com - Now owned by CIT group. You can find federal and private student loans at their site.
finfo.com- you can get up to four competing offers from banks and other financial institutions with no obligation.
Also, check out bankrate.com. I think I remember seeing something in their rate comparison section where you can find rates for student loans.
The important thing to remember is that you need to consolidate your loans when you graduate. This is taking one big loan from one bank and paying off all of the smaller student loans. By doing this you'll get a lower overall interest rate and save a lot of money.
