Hello everyone......what avenues can I take being that I do not qualify for pell or map grants? I hate to take out a school loan, being that im in my mid 40s and im trying to make money to take care of two sons, one that has special needs.right now im on public aid and i hate it! i need a lucrative job and time is not on my side since im starting out so late age wise....can anyone help me with any legitimate ideas??? or websites? thankyou.

Since you are on public aid, I do not understand why you do not qualify for the Pell. Go to your local employment office and ask to talk to a WIA counselor. The WIA program stands for "Workforce Investment Act" sometimes pays for individuals to go to school.
